One aspect of the Convention that we’ve re-introduced has been a Question and Answer session. These restarted informally in 2019 when Bill Davison – contributor to Movie Maker magazine, former Convention organiser, and reporter on the very first Convention, visited for the first time since the 1980s and spoke and answered some questions after the auction.
Now a regular event held during the Sunday Film Fair, this year’s guest is Mark Williams, author of this year’s best-selling book on Cine – Bootlace Cinema. Mark will be sharing his experiences and insights in putting the book together and will be questioned by Convention co-organiser Adrian Winchester. As usual, we invite questions from the audience, so if there’s anything you’ve been burning to ask Mark, this will be your chance!
The Q&A session will take place on Sunday afternoon, 17th November 2024 – the exact time will be printed in the Film Show programme. Mark will also have copies of his book for sale during the weekend if you want to acquire a copy.
