Run by collectors for collectors, the Blackpool Film Collectors’ Convention returns for a packed weekend of ‘real film’ in November 2024.

Super 8 and 16mm all-day cinema 10am – 4pm
Film Collectors’ Dinner from 7.30pm

Sunday, 17th November 2024:
Film Fair, opens 10am. Entry fee: £6
Come to all events, or just the Sunday. The cinema shows on Friday evening and Saturday day-time are free of charge. The Sunday Film Fair boasts the famous film auction as well as the Bring-and-Buy stall. Feel free to bring films and equipment to both these events.

You must pre-book the Film Collectors’ Dinner if you want to attend.

Staying at the Grand Hotel
The Grand Hotel offers special dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation rates for attendees. For 2024 these are:
- Single room at £86 per room per night
- Double Occupancy at £122 per room per night
- Family of 3 at £152.50 per room per night
- Family of 4 at £183.00 per room per night
To take advantage of these rates, call the hotel on 01253 623434 (option 3) (+44 1253 623434 from outside the UK) but mention to the hotel that you are booking for ‘the Cinema Convention’ as they know it. There are a limited number of rooms, so do book early to avoid disappointment.
If resident at the hotel over this weekend, your Saturday dinner booking can be transferred across to the Film Collectors’ Dinner at no extra charge, but you must agree this in advance of the dinner.
