The British Film Collectors Convention is the longest-running UK event for collectors of real film. Held in the Midlands and the South of England, the next event will be announced on their website.

Film is Fabulous! is an initiative to preserve vulnerable film treasures for future generations. They held their first event in October 2023.

Super8database was started in 2018 with the goal of creating a database of all films released on the format, with cover images and metadata about distributors, actors, script writers and directors. To date, it contains over 9000 entries.
Database creator Eivind Mork also produces The Humming Projector podcast.
