Film is Fabulous! is an initiative to preserve vulnerable film treasures for future generations. They held their first event in October 2023.

Super8database was started in 2018 with the goal of creating a database of all films released on the format, with cover images and metadata about distributors, actors, script writers and directors. To date, it contains over 9000 entries.

Database creator Eivind Mork also produces The Humming Projector podcast.
