We were very saddened to learn that Robert Nicholls, known affectionately to many film collectors as ‘Uncle’ Bob, died on Monday 14th October.
Whatever event you went to, however far it was from his home, you could be virtually certain that you would find Bob there, giving it his support. He also made an important contribution to Blackpool, presenting film shows at the Convention after Derek Simmonds sadly passed away, and being the auctioneer after Barry Littlechild stopped attending. His film/DVD/Blu-ray reviews appeared in every edition of ‘Projections’ magazine.
He will be greatly missed, and all he did for collectors will not be forgotten. We are planning a tribute to Bob at the Blackpool Convention in November.
