Take a look back at the 2025 Blackpool Film Collectors’ Convention! Ace film maker Eivind Mork once again captures the fantastic atmosphere and key events from the incredible weekend held at the Grand Hotel from 14th to 16th November.
The convention weekend was packed with highlights, including:
- Film Screenings: The weekend kicked off with on Friday with a 35mm feature, followed by an all-day Saturday film shows with a great variety of prints on Super 8, 16mm, and 35mm.
- Gala Dinner and Quiz: The traditional Saturday evening dinner was an integral part of the event, featuring a three-course meal, a film quiz, and a raffle with generous prizes, topped off with a film screening compiled by Colin Tolman.
- Special Guest Q&A: The Sunday afternoon Film Fair Q&A slot welcomed Phil Sheard to the stage. He shared fascinating stories about his beginnings in film collecting in 1963 and the origins of his company, Classic Home Cinema.
- The Exciting Auction: The convention concluded with the popular auction, which offered a “cornucopia of delights” for every collector, ranging from low-cost items to more valuable reels.
