This year’s Film Collectors’ Dinner takes place in the Grand Hotel, Blackpool at 7.30pm on Saturday 14th November 2026.
First introduced in 1985 by Derann Film Services, this year we celebrate the 40th dinner which has become an integral part of the convention. In addition to a sumptuous three-course meal with tea and coffee, Adrian Winchester’s famous and fiendishly-difficult film quiz takes place between courses, and a raffle is held after the dinner with feature films on both Super 8 and 16mm among the many generous prizes. The evening rounds off with a film show, this year compiled by Phil Slater.
How to reserve your place at the dinner
You must pre-book the Film Collectors’ Dinner if possible by 30th October 2026 if you want to attend. The price is £30 per person.
For those staying at The Grand Hotel on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package, you can transfer your Saturday dinner to the Film Collectors’ Dinner for a reduced rate of £15 per person. Please note that dinner transfers would also be preferred by 30th October.
Bookings for the Film Collectors’ Dinner are made directly with the convention organising team. This year, Jeremy Norman will be processing the bookings and collecting payments. Payment via bank transfer is ideal, or Paypal or a cheque can be accepted if necessary.
