The 2008 Convention took place at The Savoy Hotel and was captured in pictures by the British Film Collectors Convention‘s roving reporter Chris Quinn. Many thanks to John Clancy of the BFCC for permission to reproduce them.
The 2008 Convention had two celebrity guests in attendance – actresses Caroline Munro and Valerie Leon – both well known for their appearances in Hammer’s horror films.
Films were projected throughout the day – both on Super 8 and video.
No Blackpool Convention would be complete without the (in)famous auction where a mixture of 8mm and 16mm films is offered.
The 2008 Convention was also captured in anaglyph 3D by the BFCC’s 3D maestro, Paul ‘Tiv’ Tivy. You will need red/blue glasses to view the images!
